TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], Fellow of the Royal Society
Date1 May 1893
DescriptionA letter came for Thomson this morning from Mr [Francis] Galton, the Chairman of the Kew Committee, stating that Mr [Charles] Chree has been appointed superintendent of the Kew Observatory. Rix retains the letter since it appears that the proper course is that the selection should come before the Council to be confirmed.
