TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Captain William de Wiveleslie Abney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date3 October 1893
Description'Dear Captain Abney,
The only "W. H." among the FF.R.S of 1853 is William Hopkins, who wrote on Trigonometry and ^on^ the Motion of Glaciers, but we have no book by him called "An Alphabet of Colour". Permit me to remind you that we have not yet received your sketch of the lantern stand, which I have been daily expecting. I think you promised to send it when you had seen that in use at the Camera Club.
Yours truly,
Herbert Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
