Title | Referee's report by Hugh Longbourne Callendar, on a paper 'The measurements of temperature. Parts I-III' by Morris William Travers, George Senter and Adrien Jaquerod |
Date | July 1902 |
Description | Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry
Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full. The data of the thermometric observations might be more clearly put and arranged, but without re-writing the paper, he is unable to suggest changes in detail. The three plates or curves might be omitted as the observations are given and the essential points of plate three are purely speculative. The work is undoubtedly of great value and accuracy and appears to mark a distinct step in advance of the previous work of Dewar, of which it is in the main a remarkably close confirmation.
