Title | Referee's report by Joseph Larmor, on a paper 'On the discharge of electricity from hot Platinum' by Harold Albert Wilson |
Date | June 1903 |
Description | Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry
Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, subject to revision. The experiments seem to be admirably planned and executed, the theoretical part does not add much. The theory of the temperature effect carries no conviction. The formulae is said to agree with the experimental results but more evidence seems to be needed that quite different formulae would not do equally well. All the illustrations should be reproduced.
