TitleReferee's report by Robert Warington, on a paper 'The effect of plant growth & of manures upon the soil: the retention of bases by the soil' by A D Hall and N H J Miller
Date28 April 1905
DescriptionSectional Committee: Botany

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full. The paper needs some revision as suggested in his accompanying note. Both figures should be published, they need however to be copied as they contain marks of construction. The results have apparently been rather hastily thrown together, the errors and deficiencies in the accompanying note are probably due to this cause. Additions or alterations to the paper are necessary with reference to the relevant page of the paper. Tables IV and VI should be in the same form and show losses both in the first nine inches and the first 27 inches of the soil. The paper is of considerable agricultural interest.

[Published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B, 1905].
