TitleLetter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, on a paper 'A generaliziation of the functions xn and gamma (n)' by Reverend F H Jackson to Frederick Henry Baker
Date16 April 1904
DescriptionSectional Committee: Mathematics

Jackson's paper was received last December for consideration for Philosophical Transactions. The paper has been to two referees whose reports are both adverse to publication in the Transactions. One of the referee's suggests that the paper might be published in Proceedings in a condensed form, with about five pages being assigned to it. Harrison is directed to send Baker the paper and a second part which has subsequently been communicated by Professor Burnside, whose letter Harrison also encloses [no attachments]. Asks Baker to advise the Secretaries if he thinks an abstract should appear in the 'Proceedings' and if so to what extent it should be condensed.
