TitleReferee's report by George Ballard Mathews, on a paper 'On a generalised Theory of Alternative Inheritance with special reference to Mendel's Laws' by Karl Pearson
Datend [c December 1903]
DescriptionSectional Committee: Mathematics

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, as it is part of a series and is of equal interest to the papers already accepted. So far as he can see the mathematical inferences from the biological assumptions are correct. The paper of course deals with a controversial subject and he does not feel able to criticize it from a biological point of view; its main result appears to him to be that any definite Mendelian theory can be worked out in various ways, notwithstanding so as to give opportunities of testing it by comparison with facts. Thinks all the illustrations should be reproduced and does not give general remarks.

[Published in the Philosophical Transactions A, 1904].
