TitleReferee's report by Frederick Frost Blackman, on a paper 'The influence of homodromous and heterodromous electric currents on transmission of excitation in plant and animal' by Jagadis Chunder Bose
Date8 July 1914
DescriptionSectional Committee: Botany and Physiology

Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. 'The illustrations are excellent'. Gives criticism of the experimental method. Finds the author to be unacquainted with current research on the subject as regards the animal experiments. Considers the plant experiments worthy of publication in either the Proceedings or the Transactions, but not the animal experiments. Will leave the verdict up to the physiological referee as to whether the paper should be returned to the author to modify the animal portions of the paper.

[Published in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London', 1915]
