Title | Referee's report by Grafton Elliot Smith, on a paper 'Further observations on the medulla oblongata of cyprinoids ; and a comparative study of the medulla of clupeoids and cyprinoids with special reference to the acoustic tubercles' by H Muir Evans |
Date | May 1932 |
Description | Sectional committee: Zoology
Recommended for publication in Proceedings, in full. The term 'acoustic tubercles' which is used throughout the paper should be changed to 'octaval tubercles' or 'octaval area'.The term 'medulla spinalis' is currently being commonly used to describe the spinal cord, therefore the term 'medulla oblongata' should be used to avoid confusion. When he refers to the museum catalogue of the Royal College of Surgeons, he should quote the name R H Burne.
