TitleLetter to Alfred Charles Glyn Egerton, from George Frederick James Temple, regarding a paper 'Two-dimensional boundary-value problems of elasticity' by Bibhutibhusan Sen
Date14 July 1945
DescriptionSectional Committee: Engineering

The relation between the current paper and the papers by Albert Edward Green and Geoffrey Ingram Taylor is complicated. There is some overlap in the problems discussed, but not in the methods employed. The method used in the current paper is much simpler and more direct than the method used in the other papers. The originality of the method justifies publication of the paper as a whole.
