TitleReferee's report by John Zachary Young, on a paper 'The autonomic nervous system of the earthworm' by Flight-lieutenant Norman Millott
Date[March 1940]
DescriptionSectional Committee: Zoology

Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Refers to work by Smallwood [?] and Wu [?]. There is no discussion of the pharmacological assumptions, which weakens the thesis. The physiological method also weakens the paper and some of the figures are inconclusive. The discussion fails to examine the qualifications required for the conclusion. Suggests the author reconsider his conclusions.
