Title | Letter from Joseph John Frewing, to Eric Keightley Rideal, regarding a paper 'The heat of adsorption of long-chain compounds and their effect on boundary lubrication' by Joseph John Frewing |
Date | 8 July 1943 |
Description | Sectional Committee: Not stated [Engineering and Physics]
Gives thanks for the referee's comments, but has not yet received the manuscript for alteration. Sends alterationa for the communicator to pass on. Does not agree with the criticism of his theory on the grounds of simplicity. The theory is not meant to be comprehensive, instead it covers the interpretation of an experimental sample. Has added a paragraph regarding newer information, although does not think it has much bearing on the current work. Adds references to work of J R Bristow, F Morgan, M Muskat and D W Reed.
