General context | Wood published two works on a new proposed time system based on the moon and the sun (1680-81). He also translated William Oughtred's 'Clavis mathematica' into English. Wood also frequented James Harrington's Rota Club, a group which debated on republican ideology. He supported the Commonwealth and at the Restoration was deprived of his fellowship at Lincoln College in Oxford. |
