| Creator | Preece; Sir; William Henry (1834-1913); British electrical engineer; inventor |
| Date | 20 April 1913 |
| Description | Regrets he is unable to find Swinton's letter to him introducing [Guglielmo Giovanni Maria] Marconi, fearing he may have destroyed it. Informs that Marconi brought it to him in 1896 when he was undertaking work on wireless telegraphy, recalling that he came to a hitch which Marconi's invention of utilising Hertzian waves and using vertical antennae, completely met. States that Marconi was given every assistance & encouragement, and proved the value of his invention. |
