DescriptionIn light of their previous conversation encloses copies of the two Royal Society papers on diamonds, by [Charles Algernon] Parsons and himself, and two by himself only [enclosures not present]. States that the actual cathode-ray tube with which the experiments were made is also the graphite that was produced from the diamond in the first of the experiments. Adds that he also possesses the graphite produced from the diamond in the second of the experiments. Informs that [William] Crookes has blackened the surface of the diamond by treating it with cathode rays.
