Description | Aware that Swinburne is giving a lecture at the Institute of Electrical Engineers on the origin of the incandescent electric lamp, and gathered from Crompton that he is going into the question of the relative priority and merits of Swan and Edison. Informs he recently spoke to St. George Lane Fox Pitt, who is anxious that his claims should not be forgotten, and that some of his early lamps, held at the Science Museum, should be shown. Recommends for the two men to meet to discuss the matter. |
