| Description | Commenting on statements made by the Postmaster General, in the House of Commons, pertaining to the demonstration of television which took place that morning was on the understanding that no side gave any information to the Press. Noticed that Mr. Cecil Malone M. P, expressed a view that the progress of television was being obstructed by interested parties. Points out that some time ago it was reported in the Press that an evening newspaper had been "televised", which turned on was not a copy of the paper that has been so treated by a contents bill printed in the letters of dimensions to be measured in inches. Further states that no one who knows anything about television could even suggest that along the lines of present mechanical methods, a single sheet of any London paper could be transmitted and read by television. |
