Title | Letter from [John Walter] Gregory, Geology Department, The University, Glasgow, to [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton [Esquire], 66 Victoria Street, London, S. W. 1. |
Creator | Gregory; John Walter (1864 - 1932) |
Date | 16 December 1927 |
Description | Forwards "Divining Rod" by [William Fletcher] Barrett and [Theodore] Besterman [enclosure not present]. Agrees with Swinton that Lady [Florence Elizabeth] Barrett's letter is intentionally obscure in order to close the correspondence. Informs of his promise to broadcast a short talk on the subject and if that were to turn unto a form suitable for one of the monthly Magazines, he might send it in, and clearly demonstrate that the evidence for the divining rod is of the same order as that for mind reading and other superstitions. |
