Date | 2 March 1925 |
Description | Encloses copies of a printed letter sent out by the Institution of Electrical Engineers to the Postmaster General and to the Royal Society, in relation to the Wireless Telegraphy & Signalling Bill [enclosures present]. The printed letter communicates the Institution's position on recent provisions made to the Bill, which they believe will likely be detrimental to the progress of wireless telegraphy, of radio science generally, and of other electrical matters, requesting that immediate further proceedings with the Bill be halted to enable the Council to consider it carefully. The letter to the Royal Society notifies that the Institution of Electrical Engineers has appointed a Committee for the consideration of the Bill, detailing the differences between the Act of 1904 and the present Bill. |
