TitleLetter from Oliver Lodge, Normanton House, Lake, Salisbury, to [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton
CreatorLodge; Sir Oliver Joseph (1851-1940); British physicist
Date2 July 1929
DescriptionInforms that the film he wanted shown at the Ladies' Soiree was the Canti Biological film show at the Men's Soiree in May. Referring to television, explains he has no particular view, except that it might be well for people to show what they could do before a critical audience, as the topic has attracted much talk and controversy. Comments on the infancy of attempts as well as Swinton's strong objections to the Baird system, placed before the Committee, a matter in which he does not wish to interfere.
