Title | Paper, 'Two newly discover'd arteries in women, going to the ovaria' by Mr [John] Ranby |
Date | [1726] |
Description | Ranby describes his discovery of arteries that extend from the aorta to the glandula renalis [adrenal gland] and then to the ovaries in women. He had previously written about the same discovery in men, going to the testicles. Ranby supposes that this may be the excretory duct that Anton Maria Valsalva had claimed to have discovered in the same location.
