Two persons were recommended by Mr Nicol, who attended the Committee, as adequate ' to the compilation of an Alphabetical Catalogue of the Library of the Royal Society. ' He was asked to enquire into the terms under which they would work then report again to the Committee.
' The Committee recommended to the President to inform the Society at their next Meeting of the formation of the Catalogue and to request that they would abstain form borrowing books from the Library during the ensuing vacation except in any particular case of absolute necessity. ' |
