Committee business, including a recommendation that no new appointments be made to the Foulerton Research Fellowship; recommendation that a grant be made to J E Falk toward research expenses; a grant from the Medical Research Council to Mrs A M Pantin; consideration of applicants for the Locke Research Fellowship (listed), and a decision to recommend that it go to Dr M de Burgh Daly for research on caratoid sinus reflexes and haemodynamics of pulmonary circulation, and to Dr J C F Poole for work on the effects of fat absorption on blood coagulation and thrombosis; recommendation that the capital of the Henry and Charlotte Payne Fund be used to fund a Research Fellowship in cytology and cyto-chemistry, with special emphasis on malignant cells. p147-8.
