Description 'Adverting as to the enquiries as to the Vote for Scientific Reserch, i am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Concil on Education to call the attention of the Council of the Royal Society to the Estimates for the financial year 177-8, from which it will be perceived that the original vote of £1000 will be accounted for, as hitherto, by the Treasury, whilst this Department will only account for the additional vote of £4000.'
