Bishop of Exeter deputised and swarn Vice-president as the President was obliged to attend his Majesty's Council and Sir Robert Moray (who was Vice-president) was also absent at the beginning of the meeting
Report presented by the Committee appointed by Council concerning the examination of the accounts from April 1666 to Michaelmas 1666, and was approved. Thanks also given to Treasurer both for his efficient accounts and his care and diligence in collecting the arrears.
Ordered that the business concerning the moneys pretended to be due to Mr Hook, be deferred until Dr Wilkins retrns, and that in the menatime all the orders sentered inthe Journals concerning the same to be lokked at and produced.
Ordered that the list of the Society, read this day before the Council be printed, only altering what should be ordered on Wednesday at the meeting of the Society, some persons then probably left out and some to be inserted.
Ordered that enquiry be made at the next meeting of the Society whether the rooms now taken up by Sir Thomas Bludworth may be had for the Society to meet in upon their Anniversary election day.
The Lord Bishop of Exeter and Sir Robert Moray were asked to speak to Mr Matthew Wren about some rooms in the Savoy for the Society.
The Bishop of Exeter relinqished his post as Vice president to Sir Robert Moray when he arrived, and Moray was sworn again by the Council as such. |
