The two drafts of the Declaration for restoring the Society brought in by Sir William Petty and Dr Goddard were read, and the substance of both reduced into one paper, which the Amanuensis was ordered to transcribe into a fair copy for further consideration at the Council's next meeting.
It was voted to repeal the Statute (the second statute of the fourth Chapter containing the Statutes about the ordinary meetings of the Society) which allows the admission of non-members of the Society to its meetings; to be discussed at the next meeting of the Council.
Moved that a form of a Statute be prepared enjoining secrecy to the Members of the Society in divulging what was brought into meetings of the Society, and by the President or Vice President declared to be kept secret at the communicator's request, as the divulging of what is brought into the meetings makes the members very shy of presenting what they have discovered, invented or contrived.
A Form was proposed and prepared for this purpose. [Wording listed.]
Discussion of the time of the Summons of the Society for returning to the weekly meetings to be issued. Resolved the summons to be issued on 12 November, and in order to make known to the Fellows beforehand of the Council's actions, the Form of the Summons was given, listing what was the programme for the next three meetings.
