Mr Hill reported from the Dean of Canterbury that the books it was hoped might have been obtained from Lord Berkley were disposed of and legally settled; he had spoken to Lord Berkly who seemed sorry he had not been sooner consuled.
Mr Hill brough in an account of the Socie's income and charges for several years as he had been requested, so the Council might consider new modelling of the expenses of the Society. Debate was adjouned to the next meeting. The President was requested to bring in some propositions in writing.
Mr Hunt ordered to survey the land at Chelsey [Chelsea] College without further delay so the tenants can have their leases sealed accordingly. Sir John Hoskyns, Mr Henshaw and Mr Hook appointed a Committee to make drafts of the lease to Thomas Franklyn of the arable and meadow, as Mr Henshaw had formerly treated with him last November; the names and boundaries are to be truly expressed, as stated in the original papers, in which (after the survey is made) the Committee to inspect the words of the grant and other papers necessary. The Committee are to have copies of this order, and report on it at the next meeting. |
