Description | Present at the Council; Lord Brouncker, Mr Charles Howard, Sir Robert Moray, Sir Paul Neile, Sir Peter Wyche, Mr Aerskine, Mr Povy, Mr Balle, Dr Goddard, Dr Merret, Dr Whistler, Mr Hill, Mr Colwall, Mr Oldenburg
Dr Merrett brought in his lists of chirurgical instruments: he was asked to mark those that are most use for the chirurgical operations intended to be made by the Society on dead bodies
Ordered that the Committee for examining Mr Balle's account from June 24 to September 23, 1663 to meet next Friday morning about 10 at the President's house.
Sir Roert Moray moved that every one of the Council should think of wayes to raise revenue to carry on the design and work of the Society
Dr Whistler had several ideas: that his Majesty should be spoken to, that in every new Grant something might be stipulated for the use of the Society. Also, that if any thing should be found, that at the present yields no revenue to the King, the Grant might fall to the Society. Also, that upon all Philosophical books, printed in England, some imposition might be made for the benefit of the Society. |
