' Ordered that Mr Hill and Mr Hoskins conferre with Sir William Petty and Mr Grant concerning the manner and forme, in which it may be most proper for Sir John Cutler to put into execution his promise of giving Fifty pounds a year to Mr Hook during his life, for the reading of the Histories of Trades in Gresham College.'
It being mentioned, that in case of Mr Hook's Microscopical observations should be printed by Order of the Society, they might be examined by some members of the Society; Lord Brouncker was asked to undertake this perusal, and afterwards to communicate the manuscript to whom of the Society he should think fit. |
