Description | Present at the Council: The President; Sir Anthony Dean; Sir Cyril Wich; Mr Colwall; Mr Hill; Dr Slaze; Dr Grew; Me Meridith; Mr Aston
' Sir Anthony Dean was sworn of the Councell. Mr Meridith was desired to talk with Dr Aglionby concerning his arrears in order to the Compounding them always provided that he enter into Bond for the future. Ordered that Mr Hunt get printed a good quantity of Blanck Bonds in the same form with those formally printed for the Society and a good number of Summons for the Councell in the usual Form.
Upon a proposal of the President that there might be an Effectual course taken with such Fellows of the Society as are behind in their weekly Contributions it was proposed that such persons as are five years in arrear to the Society, should have their Names left out of the List and their bonds be sued of Course.
Mr Aston having acquanited the Council that the Philosophical Transactions might be carryed on this next year, if some encouragement were given to the Publishers by taking off a good number of Coppys as soon as they are printed. It was ordered that the Treasurer should buy of them at the Currant price 60 Coppys (for the use of the Society) every time that the Transactions come out this year.
Ordered that Dr Grew take upon him the Care of the Repository under the name of Praefirtus Musaei Regalis Societatis etc and that he make a short Catalogue of the Rarity's with a method for the ready finding them out : As also a Catalogue of the Benefactors and the particulars given by them. That he enter into a Book all such things as shall be given hereafter with the name of the Donor and from time to time observe what may be necessary for the preservation and augmentation of the said Repository and make a Report thereof to the Councill. And that he bring in to the usual meetings of the Society such Descriptions of Natural things there contained, as have not yet been publilshed in his Book.
Dr Grew accepts of this place.

Sir John Hoskins took the Oath of Allegiance and Sepremacy as President of the Royal Society. Sir John Hoskins appointed Sir Christopher Wren, Mr Henshaw, Sir Cyril Wich, Mr Daniel Colwall to execute each of them the Office of Vice President. ' |
