' Sir Hans Sloane informed the Councill that Mr Chamberlaine desired leave to withdraw himself from the Society, and to take up his Bond. Ordered that he have leave to withdraw his Bond.
Sir Hans Sloane communicated the Contents of a Letter to him from Mr Linton which informs him that Mr Robert Keck late Fellow of this Society has beqeather £500 to Support their forreign Correspondence.
Mr Rand was propounde a Candidate for Election and being ballotted for was approved.
Mr Moses Williams was ballotted for approbration and approved.
Mr Strachey was ballotted for approbation and chosen Candidate.
Mr Albertus Henricus de Salengre was ballotted and approved Candidate for Election.
Mr Mac-Laurin Professor of Mathematicks at new Aberdeen was ballotted and chosen Candidate for Election.
Mr Folkes was proounded and ballotted for one of the Auditors of the last years Acciounts for the Councill.
My Lord Paisley was also propounded and elected Auditor.
The President ordered another Council the next week on thursday half an hour after three. ' |
