' Ordered, that the executors of the Late Mr Keck do pay into the hands of the President the Sum of five hundred fourty seven pounds ten shillings which is due from them to the Royal Society in full of Mr Keck's Legacy, the Interest of the Same and costs of Suit.
Memorandum. March 15 1721 [1722] The money aforesaid was paid into the President's hands accordingly in presence of the Council. Is Newton
Dr Musgrave, Thomas Bacon Esq. the Reverend Mr Lucas and Colonel Molesworth were Severally ballotted for and approved of as Candidates to be chosen into the Society.
The President having proposed that Mr John Frewin be the Sollicitor to the Society, It was agreed to Nemine contradicente.
Ordered, That if the rent and arrears due to the Royal Society for the Fee Farm rent out of the Lord Abergavenny's Estate at Lady day next be not paid within three months aftet that time Distresss Shall be made for the Same.
Ordered, That if any of the Rents due to the Royal Society from any of their Tenants shall be unpaid three months after the Same shall become due The Sollicitor to the Society Shall cause distress or Such other proceeding to be made as shall be thought proper for recovery thereof. ' |
