' The Books in the Secretary's keeping were viewed and found to be as follows; 5 Books of Minutes bound in Leather taken by Mr Oldenburg, they begin the 5th of December 1660 and end May 24th, 1677 3 Stitcht paper books of Minutes taken by Mr Hook they begiin the 25th of October 1677 and end the 23 February 1680/81 Another bound book of Mr Hook's Minutes, about 1/4 full, it begins 2 March 1690/81, and ends July 26th, 1682 1 Book of Minutes current, taken mostly by Mr Aston, It begins October 25th, 1682 and comes to the last Meeting February 20th, 1683/84 Resolved that the Minutes of Mr Hooke be written into books suiting with the rest
5 Books bound in leather containing Registers of Experiments entred by Mr Oldenburg. in the last of which Books are about 5 leaves entred since his death. 1 More Register Book Current begum by Mr Aston 7 Books of Letters bound in Leather entred by Mr Oldenburg 1 More Letter book the same entred by Mr Aston Another Letter Book current the same 1 Book of the Minutes of the Councill Another of the Minutes current 3 Books of Originals of the Register books 2 of them bound in Pastboard, and the other ordered to be so. Severall bundles of Letters sorted Alphabetically. Other bundles of Papers of which Noe Account was taken.
Mr William Musgrave waas proposed a Candidate and allowed.
Mr Hally was desired to bring in Experiments at the Meetings of the Society in the manner of a Curator, and he should be considered for it, as others had been. he was desired to proceed first upon Magnetism, which he promised to doe. ' |
