3. Appointment of Mr Robert Waddington to go to St Helena as Second to Mr Maskelyne on his agreement to the conditions proposed by Mr Mason, with expenses listed

Dr Morton to write a letter to the Chairman of the Court of Directors of the East India Company concerning His Majesty's support for the Transit of Venus Expedition, appointment of observers to St Helena and Bencoolen [Bengkulu] in the island of Sumatra [Indonesia], and asking for the Company's support in various practical matters.
