Minutes of the last Council were read
Reported by the President that John Hyde Esq a Fellow of this Society had at his own expense sent to Father Gaubil and the other missionaries in China a Bull of Sherry in the name of the Society; he was thanked by the missionaries and the Society
James Burrow Esq, George Lewis Scott Esq and Lord Willoughby of Parham proposed by President, ballotted and elected auditors of the Treasurer's accounts.
President reported that he and Lord Charles Cavendish, Lord Willoughby of Parham, Mr More, Mr Burrow, Mr Watson and the two Secretaries attended the Lord Chancellor at Powis House on Saturday 13 November by his invitation who then subscribed the Obligations of the Fellows of the Royal Society, which he had been unable to do earlier on account of 'his great affairs'.

Discussed the disposal of the prize medal given by the Society in consequence of the legacy in the will of Sir Godfrey Copley Bart, deceased.
Ordered Mr Hauksbee be paid his bill of £60-7-6d for copying the journals, lists and papers
Ordered after a ballot that the Secretaries Dr Birch and Mr Davall be paid £60 each for the year, and a further 10 guineas as a gratuity. Dr parsons to be paid £20 for his salary. |
