Resolved - thar for the future annual contributions be paid up to Michaelmas in every year

Mr Kirkby showed a report of an opinion from Mr Ashurst relating to the case against Mr Salvador and Mr Felton.

Ordered the book containing the Treasurer's accouns be completed immediately

' A letter from Mr Dymond dated Briarley February 1, 1768, in answer to that of the Secretary dated the 21 of January last was read, wherein he accepts of the Council for the payment of an Observer at Hudson's Bay: but begs that 11 Guineas be allowed him on account of his two journeys to London on this account. He expects to live as the Captain does on the voyage, and as the best of the Company's Servants in the Settlement: He mentions whether in case of death the bequeathing of his salary would not be allowed of, and desires that in case he should want it before leaving the Country, some part of the money may be advanced to him.

Ordered. That the Secretary acquaint him that the expenses of his journey to London will be allowed him: That in case of death after the observation, the whole £200 will be paid to his Executors; and that if he wants a small sum upon account, it will be allowed him; but that in regard to his living, they must abide with the answer of the Hudson's Bay Company.

The answer of Mr Wales dated January 30th 1768 was likewise read; he accepts the terms offered by the Society; but hopes that his family may be assisted in his absence with part of the gratuity intended him; and excepts to his being dieted by the Hudson's Bay Company, and would chuse to have a stipulated sum for day for his maintenance allotted to him. '

Secretary ordered to provide a Guardbook for placing the Letters and Papers referred to in the minutes.
