| Citation | Mr John Landen of Milton near Peterborough in Northamptonshire. A Gentleman well vers'd in mathematicks and other branches of Literature, as appears by the several works he has publish'd, viz his Lucubrations well known to the Mathematicians, and his communications to the Royal Society printed in the Transactions Vol 48 part 2d and vol 51 part 2d being very desirous of Becoming a member of the Royal Society, we the under written do recommend Him from our knowlege of his Works, and Person, as One highly deserving that Honour, and likely to prove a valuable member thereof |
