| Title | Henry, Thomas: certificate of election to the Royal Society |
| Citation | Mr Thomas Henry of Manchester Apothecary, being desirous to be admitted a member of the Royal Society, we whose names are hereunto subscribed do, from our personal knowledge, recommend him as a very proper member. His Experimental Essays on various subjects, published in 1773, have already gained him a considerable degree of reputation as a philosopher both in England and abroad. A Letter of his may also be seen in the Appendix to J Priestley's treatise on different kinds of Air |
