Citation | John Haygarth of Chester, Bachelor of Physic, formerly of St John's College Cambridge, a gentleman of great merit and learning, well versed in philosophical enquiries, and having communicated to the royal Society Some curious observations on the diseases and population of Chester, printed in the Philosophical transactions, is desirous of being admitted a fellow of it; and is accordingly recommended by us on our personal knowlege [sic] of him, as highly deserving that honour; and as he is likely to become a usefull and valuable member |
