| Citation | James Morier of Devonshire Street, Portland Place, Esqr, late His Majesty's Minister Plenipotentiary at the Court of Persia, a Gentleman versed in polite Literature and the Arts, and Author of the Account of a Journey through Persia, Armenia, and Asia Minor, in the years 1808 and 9; and whose observations have furnished Matter, which has proved highly useful, in the correction and improvement of Asiatic Geography; being desirous of the honour of becoming a Member of this Society, we whose Names are underwritten, do, of our personal knowledge recommend him, as deserving of that honour, and as likely to become a useful & valuable Member |
