| Citation | We the undersigned Fellows of the Royal Society of London residing in Bengal beg t [sic] recommend, from personal knowledge, Henry Harpur Spry, [...] of the Bengal Medical Service FGS Member of the Asiatic Society of Bengal and of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, of the Medical and Physical Society of Calcutta, of the Agricultural & Horticultural Society of India and Secretary thereof - corresponding member of the Statistical Society of London, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in London Honorary Member of Royal Horticultural Soc of Cornwall. Author of a work published in 1837 entitled "Modern India with Illustrations of the Resources and Capabilities of Hindustan" as a fit and proper person for the honor of being elected aFellow of the Royal Society.
