Citation | Thomas Ed Moore Esq. Magnetic Observer in HMS Terror in the Antarctic voyage of Sir J C Ross: observations published in the Phil Trans for 1843-1844. Commander of HMB Pagoda when employed to complete the magnetic survey of the southern hemisphere in 1845. Observations published in the Phil Trans for 1846. Employed in 1846 at the recommendation of the Royal Society, in a voyage in the Prince Albert to Hudson's Bay & back for magnetic Observations. Observations partly published in the Phil Trans for 1849. Commander of HMS Plover in search of Sir J Franklin from 16th Novr 1847 to 30th June 1852. Distinguished for his skill and success in making magnetic observations at Sea. |
