Has made important contributions towards the recognition of the individual vitamins and of their respective functions. He has taken a leading part in the application of these discovereies to the improvement of the nutrition of the population. His book "The Englishman's Food" is a scholarly account of the development of nutritional ideas in this Country; it is not only exercising an important influence at the present time, but will always be recognised as a major contribution to this subject. |
