Citation | Distinguished for his classical investigations of the feeding mechanisms in a large number of molluscan, annelidan and protochordate types. Also for his discovery if protandric hermaphroditism in Crepidula and other molluscs. More recently he has made fundamental contributions to our knowledge of the sexual cycle in salmon. He is also the author of a large number of papers dealing with the growth rate and bionomics of the oyster and other invertebrates of economic value. A list of publications is attached. |
