Date | 1960 |
Description | Citation typed |
Citation | Distinguished for work on applied chemical thermodynamics and kinetics, with particular reference to systems in steady states and the theory of continuous reaction processes. He is the author of books on thermodynamics together with scientific papers on various physico-chemical aspects of steady state systems (including the discovery of the thermo-osmosis of gases) and on the theory of optimum conditions for continuous processing. His conception of optimum sequences (e.g. of temperature or concentration) has been of much benefit in the chemical industry and has been actively developed in the literature of chemical engineering. |
