Citation | Yanick Crow has made seminal contributions to medicine, leveraging the power of Mendelian genetics to illuminate fundamental principles of disordered innate immunity. Extensive disease gene discoveries led to him to define the ‘type I interferonopathies’ as a new disease entity. His work has implicated diverse pathological processes which inappropriately activate nucleic-acid pattern recognition receptors, mechanisms that have broad relevance to medicine. Continuing to lead the field he defined, his studies have also substantially impacted clinical diagnosis, molecular testing and therapy for these inborn errors of immunity. |
