DescriptionCopies of the letters sent in from I R Bishop [later expedition leader] and others interested in joining the expedition. Some of the letters have been written on behalf of the candidates by their professors or colleagues. The letters outline thier interest in the expedition as well as emphasising the skills and qualifications they could bring to the project. There are additional letters from Dr P E King, Mr J Ogden, Dr I Nicholson and Professor W Kirk, all received later, but also expressing an interest in participating in the expedition.
