The Atomic Scientists' Association (ASA) was founded in 1946 by British Scientists who had been involved in the Allies Atomic Bomb Project in World War Two.
The aims of the ASA were given as "to bring before the country the true facts about Atomic Energy and its implictions", to "investigate and make proposals regarding the intrnational control of Atomic Energy whenever the political situation makes this appropriate" and "To help to shape the policy of this country in all matters relating to Atomic Energy" |
