TitleLetter from Max Born to Simon
Date14 December 1939
DescriptionWritten from the Department of Natural History, The University, Drummond Street, Edinburgh

'Please read the letter enclosed, and if you think it worth while forward it to Lindemann. I wished we could be more useful for war work, and particularly Forth has really results which might be important. But I can not allow him to help the people from the Physiology Dep. under the present regulations. Further, it seems to me unfair to let him work for nothing. His stipend is soon at its end, and I must find some living for him. But this is a secondary question.

Let me know how you are getting on - I am worried about the political situation.

With kind regards.

If you think my letter not well formulated please send it back, with suggestions.'
