TitleLetter from Simon to Egon Larsen, taking issue with the view of the future presented by Larsen in his book 'You'll See: Report from the Future'
Date30 August 1956
DescriptionSimon questions the possibility of coastal power stations harnessing the energy of the oceans and the feasibility of travel to the moon ("I am sure that you cannot believe that in 25 years we really will have a manned missile sent to the moon even with only a moserate chance of the people being able to return to the earth. Even if it were technically possible by that time - which I very much doubt - the effort would be so enormous that nobody could justify such an enterprise when so much remains to be done to improve the lot of people living on earth")
